Frequently Asked Questions

Press On Nails

Which size do I need?

To find out all the information you need for choosing the correct size for your nails, please have a read of this sizing guide.

I highly recommend you order a sizing kit (ideally in the shape & length you're looking to purchase in the future) if you're new to press on nails.

Do keep in mind that well-fitting tips make all the difference for the longevity & overall look of your nails!

What if I order the wrong size?

Ordering the correct size, whether that is sending over your custom measurements or choosing from the pre-set sizes S, M or L, is your responsibility. If in any doubt, I will again advise you to read through the sizing kit linked above.

As each set is custom-made to order, I can't accept returns/refunds for an incorrectly sized set. However, replacement nails are always available to purchase (with a much shorter dispatch time than a full set), so feel free to get in touch.

providing quality customer service is paramount, so if you have any issues or queries, again, get in touch.

What shape & length options are available?

All orders are made entirely to your specifications so that you can pick a shape & length suitable to you. When you discover a set of nails you like, listed underneath are all the shape options I offer.

There are 15 different shapes/lengths to choose from, stocked in round, almond, coffin, square & stiletto.

Wearing Press On Nails

How long can I wear them for?

Good, careful prep prior to application gives you nails a good chance to last 2-3 weeks.

For long-wear like this, use the glue provided.

For shorter-term wear, applying your nails with sticky tabs is a good idea. These are little gel tabs that you apply to the press on, peel back the plastic cover & then pop onto your natural nail. This method is ideal if you're only wanting to wear your nails for a special occasion or a few days.

How do I apply & remove them?

All orders come with a leaflet that walks you through application & removal steps. Everything needed for application is supplied & for removal you'll only need some warm water & soap. Each process takes about 20 minutes (if you're thorough with application prep).

Why aren't my nails lasting very long?

Press on nails prematurely popping off can be caused by many reasons; it's so important to follow application instructions carefully.

Some of the main causes for premature lifting & popping off are:

1. Incorrect sizing: the nails should fit comfortably when applied, fitting side wall to side wall without hanging over onto your skin. When putting them on, pressure shouldn't be needed to 'flatten' them down.

2. Poor prep: every part of the application process is so important, but here's a few examples of how a poorly carried out step can cause your nails to fall off prematurely - if you rush when buffing your nail, shiny bits will remain which the glue has a hard time adhering to; if the dust isn't properly removed after filing, the glue also will not adhere.

3. Excess water, lotions & oils too soon before & after application: when you choose to apply your nails, refrain from washing your hand etc. for a while to minimise any moisture on the nails & cuticles.

4. Your nails are jewels, not tools: always pick a shape & length suitable for your lifestyle, but also always remember to have fun with them!

Shipping

Do you ship worldwide?

I do! Just keep in mind that I'm based in the UK.

Do you ship worldwide?

Here are the estimated delivery times once dispatched:

UK (first class) - 1-2 business days, free shipping on orders over £50, option to upgrade to 24 hour tracked.

EU (standard international) - 2-11 business days, free shipping on orders over £45, option to upgrade to tracked delivery.

Rest of world (standard international) - 3-17 business days, free shipping on orders over £45 option to upgrade to tracked delivery.

I would recommend upgrading to tracked whenever possible as I cannot be held responsible for a package lost in transit when you have chosen untracked shipping.

I can also not be held responsible for shipping delays or delays caused by customs; by placing an order, you’re accepting these terms.

Policies, Cancellations, Returns & Exchanges

I gladly accept cancellations up to 72 hours after purchase. If this timeframe has been surpassed, please get in contact; if your order hasn't been started, cancelling will not be a problem. If it has, we can discuss another option!

Due to the nature of my products (hand-made, made to order), I am unable to accept returns or exchanges unless there is a physical issue with the product (i.e. damaged in transit, a nail missing) which then I will do everything I can to resolve this for you.

I cannot be held responsible if the wrong size or shape has been ordered, or if any of the information on my site has been overlooked. I aim to provide you with detailed information on every aspect of the ordering process, products and how to use them in order to make your press on nail journey as easy as possible.

I can only accept returned orders & issue a refund if they meet these requirements:

  • The design isn't a custom one, it's a set that has been purchased under the 'shop all' tab with a set price.
  • The nails were made in a pre-set size (S, M or L), not in your own custom measurements.
  • When the nails arrive after the return, they are in the same condition as when they were sent out (e.g. none are missing).
  • None have been used (i.e. can't have glue on the back).
  • The application kit contents is in its original condition (e.g. glue unopened & unused, alcohol wipe unopened etc.).

Once we have agreed you should return your nails, you'll receive a Royal Mail tracked postage label via email. When your nails have arrived back with me & I have assessed the condition, you'll receive a full refund.
